Donington Park: Pace, Progress and Front-Running Performance

Donington Park proved to be another breakthrough weekend for Oliver, with the 16-year-old delivering his strongest performance of the season to date in the Fiesta ST150 Challenge.

The New Car Debut Delivers Instant Results

Oliver converted his front-row start into a solid P8 finish in Race 1, battling hard in an incredibly competitive field and gaining valuable championship points.

In the Rookie class, Colin Smith has established himself as the benchmark after a consistent and impressive campaign, sitting eighth in the overall standings. Oliver Sweetman, continue to push him hard, ensuring the Rookie battle remains as ferociously competitive as at any point this season.

ace 2 unfortunately ended before it had even begun. A technical issue meant Oliver was unable to get away from the start line, resulting in a frustrating DNF despite showing the pace to challenge at the front throughout the weekend.

Starting Race 3 from the back of the grid in P23, Oliver produced one of the standout drives of the weekend. Demonstrating exceptional race craft, determination and composure, he sliced his way through the field to finish an impressive P6, gaining 17 positions in one race and showcasing both his pace and overtaking ability.

Pace, Resilience & Progress

Overall, Donington was a hugely encouraging weekend for Oliver and the team. Debuting a newly built race car and immediately qualifying P2 highlighted the speed of the new package, while his remarkable recovery from P23 to P6 after the disappointment of Race 2 demonstrated the resilience and talent that continue to drive his rapid progression. The pace, confidence and consistency shown throughout the weekend leave Oliver well placed for the remainder of the season.
